I’m Ro. Born and raised in the heart of Otara. What you see here isn't just paint on a canvas or a design on a shirt—it’s a lifetime of watching, learning, and breathing through the struggle.

For a long time, the vision of an art studio was just that—a vision. While the come-up was long, getting back to the tools reminded me: I don’t need a fancy degree to tell my story. I was issued a mandate, one that would bring me to my reality

The Language

In my work, colour isn’t just for show. Every hue is researched and chosen with respect to those who came before us, those of old. It’s a language. It’s about revelation—unveiling the truths of who we are as Māori and Polynesian people.

The Brand
