The Vision
I’m Ro. Born and raised in the heart of Otara. What you see here isn't just paint on a canvas or a design on a shirt—it’s a lifetime of keeping my head above water, watching how people operate, and learning how to stand my ground through the darkest times.
I came straight out the gutter. Before I ever found the power to stand up and rise out of that pit, I had to get completely scorched. Life burnt me down to nothing until every single fake layer was gone. Gettin' scorched was the only way to burn off the mess.
But that refining fire is exactly where I found Ro. I looked at the wreckage and realized that even if the canvas was ripped and stained, the pen was still in my hand.
For a long time, the vision of an art studio was just that—a vision. While the come-up was long, getting back to the tools reminded me: I don’t need a fancy degree to tell my story. This wasn't just a random idea—it’s an assignment I can no longer dodge. The reality is, this is my lane and I'm walking in it.
The Language
In my work, colour isn’t just for decoration. Every single shade is picked with deep respect for those who came before us—the ones of old. It’s a language, plain and simple. It's about pulling back the curtain on who we truly are as a Pasifika people.
The Brand
Ar.Ti is "DNA Grounded. Small Beginnings Locked." It’s for anyone who isn't afraid to look back at their lineage to find their way forward. I don’t do fake. I keep it 100. If you value raw authenticity and the grit it takes to stay real, tap in—watch wassup.
